The mission of the Interdenominational Youth Choir Alumni Association ( IYCAA ) is to provide a mechanism that promotes spiritual, academic and community excellence of current and former members of IYC ( Interdenominational Youth Choir ), here at Illinois State University, Normal Illinois.

The Spirit of this mission will give focus to the following objectives of the IYCAA:

• The development of an active and cohesive network of former members of the Interdenominational Youth Choir.
   
• Serve as an advisory board providing assistance and support to the current Interdenominational Youth Choir body.
   
• Contribute to preservation of historical documents, information and issues which aid the development of literature and materials related to the genesis, existence and advancement of the Interdenominational Youth Choir, and other traditionally African-American gospel college choirs, and ; 

Instill a spirit of excellence through social and financial support to the members of the Interdenominational Youth Choir, as well as fostering effective mentoring relationships.
